Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha, also known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is a popular British stage and stage actor which gained more attention when she appeared in"Doctor Who," (a British science-fiction TV show) series aired on the BBC channel. At the age of 19 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Handler started performing in order to make cash. Handler's storytelling ability was discovered when she reached the age of 21. Handler then decided to dedicate her entire career in stand-up comedy. Handler's professional career started as part of the all-female Oxygen television cast on the hidden camera/practical comedy reality series Girls Behaving Unsteadily. It ran from 2002 until 2005. Handler went on to work in various other shows, including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice as well as Weekends at D.L. Handler began her career as a journalist on The Tonight Show. Handler got her big break in 2006 when she began running her own talk show for E! named The Chelsea Handler Show. The Chelsea Handler Show lasted two years. Handler appeared on The Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States following the season. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have been able to broadcast live stand-up shows. In 2010, she was tapped as host of the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. She became only the second female host of the VMAs following Roseanne Bar.
