Sarah Wayne Callies

  

American actress Sarah Wayne Callies was born on June 1 1977. She is best known for her roles in Sara Tancredi (Fox's Prison Break) and Lori Grimes (AMC's The Walking Dead). She's starred as Katie Bowman on USA Network's Colony, Robin Perry in the NBC show Council of Dads, and was in films like Whisper (2007), Black Gold (2011) and The Show (2017).



 



 Early life and education



 Callies was born in La Grange (Illinois) as the daughter of Valerie Wayne Callies and David E. Callies. They were respectively English and Law Professors at the University of Hawaii Manoa.



 



 When she was just one, Callies moved to Honolulu, Hawaii with her family. Through her childhood she developed an interest for acting and was a part of numerous school plays at the independent Punahou School. After graduation of high school, Callies entered Dartmouth College where she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in drama in 1999 with a minor in women's studies and a senior fellowship in Indigenous theology.
